(Re)Union is a conceptual project without a specific function, aimed at achieving a balance between mechanical production and visual logic: a design in which line, curve, surface and solid develop simultaneously.
The line is the forthright cut, the source of the machine’s efficiency. With every move of the line, we explore further the potential uses of the space.
The curve, meanwhile, wanders deviously: from the edges of the space, it drifts inside, vacillating point out the next possibility. It’s the sole part of machine that has nothing to do with efficiency.
But while the surface may acknowledge the boundaries established by the curve, it is not defined by them. It ambiguously extends from the curve into space, extending its emotional impact. It is the source of sensory stimulation, disciplined in practical scope by the curve, yet eager for the freedom to travel in space.
The solid captures the motion of lines and fastens them to the mechanical foundation. Lines cut through the space as defined by the solid; in doing so, they build a connection between the two. Solid is the most primary state of machine—a seat belt for the emotional highs.
